ORGAN India at the Lady Hardinge Medical College in Delhi

Student Leadership Mission – Organ Doantion Awareness Forum, Department of Medical Education Unit,Lady Hardinge Medical College, Delhi organized an Organ Donation Awareness Melaon February 9th, 2019. The objective of the Mela was to create awareness on Organ Donation among doctors, other staff and college students of LHMC. ORGAN India was invited to participate in the event and set up a stall to give more information about organ donation to the visitors.
Event began with vandana and was followed by a cultural program where students and teachers gave song and dance performances.A street play was presented by students to promote organ donation. Winners of the various games at the event were given prizes. Ms. Sunayana Singh, CEO, ORGAN India was felicitated by Dr. Vasanthi Ramesh, Director, NOTTO with a certificate of appreciation for the contribution of the organization.
Guests showed enthusiastic participation at the stall and many came forward to pledge for organ donation. It was an enriching experience for all. Around 200 people participated in the event and 68 pledges were received. A special thanks to Dr. Sheetal Joshi, Associate Professor, Department of Anatomy, LHMC, for conceptualizing the whole event and giving this wonderful opportunity to ORGAN India.
