ORGAN India – DHL-Blue Dart Collaboration For Organ Donation Awareness!

A Pan-India Employee Awareness Program under Global Volunteer Day 2019 Initiative was organized by DHL – Blue Dart in September 2019. Both online and offline campaigns were run for a fortnight sending out informative and educative messages to all the employees pan India. Online campaigns helped reach everyone from the top management to field staff through emails, WhatsApp, social media etc. Offline awareness sessions were conducted in select offices where staff members got to interact directly with NGOs working on organ donation and understand the facts related to the social cause.

Under the Global Volunteer Day initiative 2019, DHL – Blue Dart conducted CSR activities in India from 16 September to 29 September 2019. During this period, they conducted many activities Pan India under GoGreen, GoHelp and GoTeach pillars. This time, under GoHelp pillar, the organization collaborated with ORGAN India for a pan India sensitization campaign to create awareness on organ donation among their employees and management.

What made this collaboration between ORGAN India and DHL-Blue Dart even more special was that as many sessions were organized in DHL and Blue Dart offices located in Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, Bangalore, and Chennai, we roped in our regional NGO partners such as A Million Pledges, Gift Your Organ and MOHAN Foundation. Out of the total number of 5 sessions organized, two were conducted in Mumbai and one session each was conducted in Delhi-NCR, Bengaluru, and Chennai. Around 500 employees were reached through these offline awareness sessions conducted in different cities. Many people signed up for their organ donor cards.
