Organ Donation Day Celebration at Police Headquarters, Noida on 27.11.2021

Wrapping up Indian Organ Donation Day on November 27th, 2021, a big awareness session on Organ Donation and Transplant was organised by Young Indians Noida Chapter in collaboration with ORGAN India and Noida Police at the Noida Police Commissionerate, Sector 108, Noida. The aim was to generate awareness about organ donation among police personnel, who are crucial in enabling organ donations to take place.

The speakers were Additional Commissioner of (Police Crime & HQ) Ms. Pushpanjali Devi, Police Commissionerate, Gautam Budh Nagar, UP, Dr. Sanjeev Lalwani, Professor of Forensic Science, JPNATC, AIIMS, Sunayana Singh, CEO, ORGAN India, DCP Traffic Ganesh Saha, Chhabiranjan Dwivedi, Prosecuting Officer, Police Commissionerate, Noida, and ACP Traffic, Bangalore City, Ravikanthe Gowda.

ORGAN India CEO Ms Sunayana Arora addressed an audience of about 150 police officers on what organ donation is, the myths and misconceptions surrounding it, and how everyone has individuals who can support the cause. Thanks to Ms Priti Agarwal, Young Indians Gift An Organ, Noida Chapter, and Ms. Shikha Chopda who organised this event.
