Medical Fraternity Sensitization at SGT Medical College, Gurgaon on 30th March 2023

ORGAN India conducted a workshop in SGT Medical college, Gurugram on Thursday, 30th March 2023 for approximately 40 intern doctors and faculty doctors. Dr. Sourabh Sharma, Manager, Projects & Outreach, from ORGAN India took the opportunity to explain the process organ donation and transplant. He explained the law (THOTA Act) and Brain Death in detail. He further explained that India is the top third country who is performing transplants but having one of the lowest ranks in case of deceased organ donations. Dean of the medical college, Prof (Maj Gen) Surinder Pal Singh Kochar (Retd) appreciated ORGAN India’s approach and requested to all the students that every student should come forward to take pledge and spread the message to their society. Special thanks to Dr. Vineet Pathak for coordinating the event.
