Cornea Transplant

A cornea transplant, also known as corneal grafting or keratoplasty, is a surgical procedure in which a damaged or diseased cornea, the transparent front part of the eye, is replaced with a healthy donor cornea. The cornea plays a critical role in focusing light onto the retina, and any damage or disease affecting it can lead to vision impairment or blindness. Corneal transplants are performed to restore or improve vision in individuals with conditions such as corneal scarring, keratoconus, corneal dystrophies, or corneal injuries.
