Team India At 1st Petanque Transplant Asian Open Championships 2023, Bangkok, Thailand

Congratulations to Team India for their outstanding performance at the Asian Pétanque Transplant Championship 2023 held in Bangkok. The team’s dedication and skill led to an impressive haul of 1 Silver and 6 Bronze Medals! The Indian contingent, comprising Captain Harsh Vardhan Singh, S. Naqvi Mujahid, Amit Kumar Sharma, Hitesh Sharma, Dr. Girivar Sharma, Bhavani Singh Shekhawat, and Parag Sharma, showcased exemplary sportsmanship, making the nation proud. The 5-day event, hosted by the Transplant Sport Association of Thailand (TSAT) from September 21 to 24, 2023, witnessed participation from 7 countries. We extend our gratitude to the New Petanque Association of Pondicherry (NPAP) for their invaluable support and contributions by providing training and coaching to our athletes. The guidance and mentorship provided by Ganesh Karthekiyan who accompanied the Team were instrumental in preparing our team. A shout out to Sunhanut Seejumpee and TSAT for their support and commitment to the cause. And finally, our deepest gratitude to all the donors whose contributions to the cause made it possible for the Petanque Team to participate in the Championships.
