ORGAN India was proud to collaborate with Hindustan Zinc to raise awareness on organ donation and transplant in 5 districts of Rajasthan. The third in a series of talks in Rajsamand District of Rajasthan from 22^nd – 23rd of September’23 covered 7 awareness workshops in schools, skill centres, women’s self-help groups and community groups supported by Hindustan Zinc. The workshops were conducted by Dr Sourabh Sharma, Manager-Projects and Outreach, ORGAN India, Parashar Foundation.

The sessions were aimed at delivering a comprehensive and extremely informative presentation on organ donation, which included the various aspects of the cause such as – What is organ donation? Who can donate organs? Importance of organ donation? What does the law say on this? Myths and Facts around the subject and how to pledge for organ and tissue donation and so on. Booklets, comic books and FAQs on organ donation were distributed among students. The sessions were interactive and appreciated by the head of the schools as students showed a keen interest in knowing about the cause. The total number of participants was 451 who benefitted from these sessions.
