ORGAN India held a Sensitisation Programme on Organ Donation & Transplant at Civil Hospital, Gurugram.
The session, held in collaboration with the District Administration, featured expert speakers: Dr. Awadhesh Kumar Yadav, Joint Director NOTTO, discussingdiscussed India’s organ donation landscape & achieving NTORC status. Trilly Rachel Mathew, Lead Officer, Organ Transplant Programme, Manipal Hospitals, spoke on transplant laws & regulations. Dr. Jeetendra Sharma, Head, Critical Care & Chief Medical Quality, at Artemis Hospitals, spoke on brain death declaration. The interactive event empowered medical professionals at the Civil Hospital, Gurugram with vital knowledge on not only organ donation and transplant process but on how to endeavour to become a retrieval center and hopefully a transplant centre in the future. The event was concluded with faculty felicitation and a vote of thanks by Sunayana Singh and Aprajita Verma from ORGAN India.
