ORGAN India conducted a special organ donation awareness workshop at Daswani Dental College, Ranpur, Kota, in collaboration with Shine India Foundation. The session brought together dental students and faculty members to learn about the importance of organ donation, brain death, transplantation procedures, and the legal framework governing organ donation in India. Dr. Sourabh Sharma, Projects & Outreach Manager, ORGAN India, addressed the participants and dispelled common myths and misconceptions surrounding organ donation.
The interactive workshop generated significant interest among the students, who actively participated in the discussion and expressed their support for the cause. Dr. Kulwant Gaur, Founder of Shine India Foundation, reiterated that a single deceased organ donor can save up to nine lives and stressed the need for healthcare professionals to play a leading role in promoting awareness. At the conclusion of the program, Daswani Dental College felicitated ORGAN India and Shine India Foundation for their efforts in spreading awareness about organ donation.
