Chintan Shivir, NOTTO, MoHFW

The National Organ and Tissue Transplant Organisation (NOTTO) under the Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India organized a “Chintan Shivir” on Reforms required for augmentation of organs and tissue donation and transplantation in terms of Technology, Processes and Legislative Reforms in India on 30^th, & 31^st August 2024 at NCDC Campus, Civil Lines, New Delhi. Sunayana Singh CEO, ORGAN India was asked to prepare and moderate the discussion on Community Participation and Social Mobilization for augmenting Awareness on Organ Donation and Prevention, which included Views of Stakeholders on augmenting awareness on BSD and Donation, alternative systems and their role in prevention and The Case for Prevention – Role of NOTTO and NGOs. After several deliberations over 2 months with NGO stakeholders, recommendations and action points were presented and discussed at the Chintan Shivir.
