For Rajesh and Sucharita Mahapatra, the joy of parenthood was dealt a crushing blow when Doctors informed them that their unborn child had an extremely rare and deadly disease. In a decision that defies belief, they insisted that as soon as the foetus was born, it should be donated to medical science. With coordination from the ORGAN India Helpline, the donation took place in September 2025. Now, 4 months after the donation, they speak with us about compassion and hope.
