Arpa Community Radio 90.8, based in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, is a community-driven radio station created with the community, for the community, and by the community. The station is operated by the Libra Welfare Society, an NGO authorised by the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting.
Often recognised as Chhattisgarh’s women-led radio station, nearly 90% of its operations are managed by women. From presenting and coordinating programmes to editing, production, and marketing, women lead nearly every aspect of its functioning.
The station actively works across key areas such as health, education, folk art preservation, Chhattisgarh’s cultural heritage, water conservation, social behavioural change, and gender equality.
