Seminar with Adesh Medical College & ROTTO NORTH at Kurukshetra

On March 13, ORGAN India, in collaboration with ROTTO North, conducted a workshop for the faculty of Adesh Medical College & Hospital, Mohri, Kurukshetra. The primary objective of the workshop was to train doctors from Adesh Medical College to initiate a transplant program and to equip the members of the Brain Death Committee with the necessary expertise to promote the deceased organ donation program. Experts from ROTTO North shared their insights on key aspects of organ donation and transplantation. The esteemed speakers included:

  • Parul Sharma, Transplant Coordinator, PGIMER Chandigarh
  • Saryu Madra, Consultant IEC & Media, ROTTO North
  The workshop covered crucial topics such as the current scenario of organ donation, challenges in transplant programs, donor management, grief counseling, and IEC (Information, Education, and Communication) activities, providing attendees with a comprehensive understanding of the organ donation process. At the conclusion of the seminar, a vote of thanks was delivered by:

  All coordination for the event was successfully managed by Ms. Suman, Transplant Coordinator, Adesh Medical College & Hospital. The event was highly successful and productive, with approximately 150 doctors and faculty members in attendance. This initiative marked an important step toward strengthening organ donation and transplant initiatives at Adesh Medical College.
