ORGAN India at ‘Jaagriti’, a festival
organised by Sri Venketeswara College

ORGAN India was invited to Jagriti 2018, an annual festival organised by Parivartan, the Social Service Society of Sri Venkateswara College, Delhi University on February 2, 2018. The main focus of the festival is imbue a sense of service among the students, and to inspire them to work for the betterment of the society.

The event was kicked off with a panel discussion on the theme: “Accessible Healthcare, Challenges Ahead.” Ms Sunayana Arora, CEO, ORGAN India sensitized the students and faculty about organ donation and talked about the scarcity of the organs, and accessibility of healthcare for patients facing organ failure in India. The discussion was moderated by Dr. Pratima Vyas, Convenor, Social Service Society, SVC among the other Panelists, Ms. Rema Nagarajan, Senior Journalist, Times of India and Mr. Antony Cyriac, Treasurer, DNipCare.

ORGAN India also put up a stall in the festi-val, which was visited by more than 300 stu-dents, many of whom pledged their organs as well.
