Awareness session at Manav Ratna Awards 2018

ORGAN India was invited to Manav Ratna Award 2018, organised by Medicine baba trust in collaboration with Mahavir International, to celebrate their 10 years of existence.

The award ceremony was held on March 29, 2018 at the India Islamic Cultural Centre.

Dr. Sourabh Sharma, Project Manager, ORGAN India attended the ceremony and delivered a talk on Organ Donation explaining various aspects related to organ donation, brain death, laws related to donation and transplantation etc.

The event was organised to recognise the real heroes who have worked towards the well being of the society. The chief guests of the event were: Shri Omkar Nath Sharma, Founder, Medicine Baba Trust, Swami Agnivesh, a renowned social activist and Mr. Jarnail Singh, MLA, Tilak Nagar Delhi, Aam Admi Party.

Some of the other guests who were felicitated at the event were Mr. Ashok Munne (Climbed Mount Everest with one leg), Miss. Aayushi Datta (an Organ Donor), Mr. Karimul Haque (known as Ambulance Dada), Mr. Taher Madraswala (A man who travelled 32 countries on bicycle to promote peace) and many more.
