Accreditation

As of June 2016, all our activities are carried out under the aegis of NOTTO (National Organ & Tissue Transplant Organisation), the apex body for organ donation in India, which became active in 2015 under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare.

  • The NOTTO logo is now on our donor cards, films and IEC material as approved by them.
  • ORGAN India has close ties with NOTTO and MoHFW and our material such as films, celebrity endorsements etc. are shared with NOTTO for their use.
  • We also hold a Collaborative Conclave For Organ Donation with all NGOs in association with NOTTO every year.

Awards

Since its inception in 2013, with over 150 awareness events, over 30 advocacy meets and over 40,000 registering as willing cadaver donors, and many National and Regional awards, ORGAN India has been in a position to garner enough traction for the cause of Organ Donation, and has received several awards for its valuable contribution.
 

ORGAN India receives an Award at 8th National Organ Donation Day 2017.

ORGAN India was selected as one of the three best NGOs in India working for organ donation in 2017. Our CEO, Sunayana Singh received the award from the Honourable Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare, Shrimati Anupriya Patel, Hon’ble Health Minister of Tamil Nadu Dr. C. Vijaya baskar, Dr. (Prof). Jagadish Prasad, DGHS, MoHFW, Dr. Vimal Bhandari, Director, NOTTO on the 8th Indian Organ Donation Day on November 27, 2017.

ORGAN India felicitated at 7th National Organ Donation Day 2016.

ORGAN India was felicitated on by the Health Minister, Mr. J.P. Nadda on India’s Organ Donation Day on November 30, 2016 for ORGAN India’s exemplary role in promoting awareness on organ donation.

Felicitation at Walkathon organised by NOTTO to commemorate Organ Donation Day 2016.

ORGAN India participated in the walkathon organised by NOTTO to commemorate Organ Donation Day, from India Gate to Nirman Bhavan on November 27, 2016. Our CEO, Sunayana Singh was also felicitated by the Union Health Minister Shri JP Nadda for ORGAN India’s contribution to organ donation.

ORGAN India receives an award for Best Research Paper at NATCO Conference 2016.

The National Association of Transplant Coordinators (NATCO) held its 9th Annual Transplant Coordinators’ Conference on 8th & 9th October 2016 in Chandigarh under the aegis of Indian Society of Organ Transplantation (ISOT) and National Organ & Tissue Transplant Organisation (NOTTO) on 8th & 9th October, 2016 in Chandigarh. Our research paper on the theme of “Transplant Guide – An Aid to Organ Transplants” was adjudged as the Best research Paper.

The Transplant Guide is an online directory of transplant hospitals, doctors & coordinators across India, along with places to stay, labs, chemists, taxis & other facilities which are required when one needs a transplant. The guide is a pioneer effort to bring together all stokeholds on a single webpage, as it provides all the information with a few clicks, and saves time and effort. The transplant guide has been widely appreciated by all and has received a lot of hits on our website.

Parashar Foundation awarded the NGO Leadership Award 2017.

Parashar Foundation, the parent organisation of the initiative ORGAN India, received the NGO Leadership Award 2017 for outstanding work towards Organ Donation. The award was presented at the Delhi NGO Leadership Awards 2017 ceremony organized by World CSR Day held on December 22, 2017 at Vivanta by Taj – Ambassador, New Delhi.

The award aims at recognizing leaders who have contributed value and made a change as a strategic tool for sustainable growth, and to recognize the best practices in the NGO industry. Dr Sourabh Sharma, Project Manager, ORGAN India received the award from the Jury members and Chief Guest at the event.
